I completed my apron project before the funwith31 chaos, but haven't posted it...so here she is!
This post to dedicated to "the girls" from AZ, namely Kelli...who made fun of my 8th grade sewing project...the frozen banana.
While they might not have been making fun of the actual sewing, they DID make fun of my love for my first sewing project. Yes, the frozen banana came with me to the sleepovers...I loved my banana, and thought it was the cutest thing ever. The banana was often held for ransom or worse, beaten in front of me.
My love for my second sewing project is similar. While I won't be taking it on too many sleepovers, maybe a ward activity every now and again??...so girls...no making fun! :)
The sad part, now...looking back...it really is a frightening looking banana. Hopefully I won't think the same of my apron one day???

So cute! I am about to start sewing lessons and an apron is on my list of projects! We must be on the same wave length. ;)
So cute! It's nice to have another sewer in the group.
P.S. That banana's face really is disturbing.
Oooh, cute apron! I am really impressed. And I love the fabric.
Also, why is the banana blue? I know Home Ec. fabrics were a bit wonky, but they had no fleshtone? Or were you being artistic? :)
Jen. It was FROZEN!
(the girls used to say the same thing...) it was hilarious!
Love the apron. Very cute. I get so excited when I get to wear my cute apron and other people are going to see me.(thank you Tammy) Since then I've decided that a cute apron is essential.
It's good to see that FB(I've decided that's his name now) has survived.
I always thought he looked angry, not frozen. That's what made him so scary!
Janelle! This is Kerry Mitchell. I know it's been a while! You look FABULOUS! It's funny because I follow Jess's blog and she posted about the Daily Scoop blog, so I looked on that over a year ago and have been following that blog faithfully ever since. And then, a few months ago, I see all these pictures of you on that blog! I contacted Jess and she gave me your blog address. My blog is www.eastcoaststroms.blogspot.com
Looks like you're doing great!
Oh my holy crap!! OH Janelle! I must apologize since you are obviously traumatized. However, in my defense, that thing is SCARY!! ahahahaha Oh my goodness. Good times! I miss you girls so so much!
