to "the girls"....

For all of your waiting on pins and needles about my sewing progress...

I completed my apron project before the funwith31 chaos, but haven't posted it...so here she is!

This post to dedicated to "the girls" from AZ, namely Kelli...who made fun of my 8th grade sewing project...the frozen banana.

While they might not have been making fun of the actual sewing, they DID make fun of my love for my first sewing project. Yes, the frozen banana came with me to the sleepovers...I loved my banana, and thought it was the cutest thing ever. The banana was often held for ransom or worse, beaten in front of me.

My love for my second sewing project is similar. While I won't be taking it on too many sleepovers, maybe a ward activity every now and again??...so girls...no making fun! :)

The sad part, now...looking back...it really is a frightening looking banana. Hopefully I won't think the same of my apron one day???

oh!

I guess we can't complain about not getting flowers in this house....

I knew I liked Ronald Reagan for a reason...

In 1984, President Ronald Reagan proclaimed July as National Ice Cream Month. He also established National Ice Cream Day as the third Sunday in the month.
I hope you are doing your civic duty today and celebrating today!! If not, stop on by! We have plenty here you can have!
Happy Ice Cream Day!!!

in the eyes of the beholders

One great thing about taking a group of poverty-strucken kids on a field trip...

they think a polluted canal waterfall is just beautiful!!

Not sure if I should cry or smile...but for a second there, I think I agreed with them!
