if I blogged in 2011...December {part 3}

We had so much fun this Christmas!
It was Josh's first "Baugh" Christmas and we stayed in Vegas this year.
Jared and Collette came down with their family, which made it even more fun!
Jill did a great job of planning our Christmas eve festivities. And of course, I was having too much fun, I didn't get very many pictures.

We tie-dyed shirts!

We played some HILARIOUS minute-to-win it games! I think the pictures are on Jill's camera.
So many great memories!

And of course we got new pajamas!! {one of my favorite parts!}

Ben and Josh had matching penguin pj's AND matching height!! :)

We read the Christmas story also. But no pictures of that! :)

I loved seeing this every day!!
Definitely a little bit of added joy was added to our lives this Christmas!

if I blogged in 2011...December {part 1}

We went on a babymoon!

During our Christmas break we went to Cancun, Mexico.
Possibly, a final hurrah from my wild traveling days.
I've always wanted to take an international trip with my husband, and it didn't disappoint.

We went on a tour of Chichen Itza with a LDS tour company named Helaman Tours.
Our tour guide was Helaman's son, Nephi.
It was great to learn about these amazing sites from an LDS perspective and to see what some of the things mentioned in the Book of Mormon could've looked liked! We would definitely recommend the Helaman Tours!

They also took us on a tour of Tulum ruins, they were beautiful!

Mainly because they were beachside...

Here are some more of my favorite pics from that day...

Everywhere around Chichen Itza they sold they crazy jaguar whistles.
They sounded just like a jaguar (or at least what I think a jaguar would sound like).
It was hilarious {and slightly annoying} but mainly hilarious, I had to get a picture!

We also went to this really cool ecological park called Xcaret. It was referred to us by many people, and it definitely didn't disappoint. It was amazing!
We swam in underground rivers, snorkeled in natural pools and learned a ton about Mexican history and culture. Definitely a highlight of the trip!

We loved the Flying Pole Dancers! It was cool to see their ceremonial clothes and traditions!

And of course, the animals

But the history was probably or most favorite part!
During the night show (a must do) we were surrounded by natives of Mexico, it was so fun to see their excitement and pride over different parts of the show!

We spent 9 days there, and those were our two main events.
The rest of the trip was spent...

Doing this...
 A lot of this...

A LOT of eating and drinking virgin yummy drinks!
(We stayed at an all inclusive resort...so lots of both were offered!)

We rented bikes a couple of times...

We went to church...everyone was so welcoming!
And we did a lot of this...

It was such a great trip! Nice and relaxing with a lot of fun mixed in.
We loved the random animals (iguanas, racoons, ring-tail cats) around our place!
I think it was suppose to put an end to traveling for a while, but it just made me want to do more! :)
Oops!

if I blogged in 2011...November

One of our date nights was to the Springs Preserve Dia las Muertas Celebration!
It was SO much fun! And so beautiful!
Tons of food booths, but the lines were so long and it was getting cold, so we decided to celebrate at a {warm} Mexican restaurant instead! :)

We spent Thanksgiving with the Willis/Wright Families which of course is always fun.
It was fun to announce the arrival of our first baby here also!

We walked across the Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge.
They did a great job with it!
It was fun to see.

Jill and I took a glass blowing class....hilarious and really cool!
Bobby was our teacher, he was a Kiwi from New Zealand...hilarious!

I found out we were going to have a baby!!!
I was so excited I wanted to tell everyone, but I couldn't.
All I could do was snap a picture! I couldn't believe it.
Later we snuck into my parents house (they were upstairs in their bedroom) and sent my mom a text of the above picture. We heard my mom gasp and say, "Ben! I think Janelle is pregnant!" I yelled from downstairs, "I am!!!!". She came running out in her nightgown! So excited! It was a fun way to tell them!

Oh, and we went to visit the California Willis Family!!
That is always fun!
I was a little bit of a bump on a log this trip, I wasn't feeling too well. :)

I love this picture!
She looks so hard core!

if I blogged in 2011...September {part 2}

 We went camping up on the Utah mountain ground!
I love it up there!
It was a lot of fun, but not a lot of pictures...

It was so cold that first night, so Paul had to improvise!

Our amazing chef, Chris!

Most of the crew, Jill and Marcie came also, but left early.

Paul's attempt at a plank! :)

 It was the 3rd Annual Jill-O party!
My sister, Jill has an AMAZINGLY cool party every year around her birthday time.
Seriously, so much fun!!
What a better way to celebrate than throwing jello and pudding at each other?!
