I threw up today!

Now while most people might not think this is exciting. I haven't really thrown up since I was 9 or 10 years old. I didn't think it was possible for me.

So as I threw up this morning, and I have no idea why I did, it wasn't all that fun, but I will admit I was kinda smiling inside. My body functions somewhat normal, that's just cool.

And I smiled throughout the day...probably because I felt great after the deed.

It's weird, I realize that...but thought it would be a rare event to document for the future.

And, no, Mom, I'm not pregnant!

just my luck...

A few weeks ago I got a text from my friend that went something like this:

J--I just met your husband! He's the new Peds ER doc and perfect for you. Funny. Cute. Smart. Cool. I'm so excited.

4 minutes later came this text:

Scratch that last message...he's gay. Sometimes I get confused between gay and mormon.

A few weeks before that I got the following texts from a cute boy:

[sigh....]

good times at the fair!

There is something so fun about a small town fair! Here's some of the highlights....
The Labor Day 5K

The tractor brigade...how fun is that?

The small town mentally illl.
Begging for candy in the streets.
Eating the candy thrown at you from the streets. We got quite the loot!

The fun rides at the carnival.

And the not so fun rides at the carnival...the pictures get real bad...we'll just leave it at this. Ben was happy though...cuddled on in.

Watching Grayson on his first ride. And watching Grandpa act like it was his first ride.

my sister is SO funny...

Let me tell you a little something about my sister Jill.

One day she got it in her head that she coined the phrase, "Fo shizzle, my nizzle". No, really.

She often asks us if we found her on wikipedia under the search "Fo shizzle, my nizzle".

It has taken years of dedicated, gentle reminders to bring her into reality....

So you can imagine the major set-back in therapy when she found this...

Please pray for her....

at all times, and in all things....

So as part of my initiation into the "family ward" I got to speak at YW in Excellence this week. The topic I was given was "What Heaven Sees in You". I LOVED the topic and focused a lot on individual worth. It went well.

And now I know WHY I was asked to speak on Individual Worth...

WOW! How thankful I am that Heavenly Father blessed me with Individual Worth that allowed me to look in the mirror and think I looked good...

And, I would like to take this time to publicly thank those who associated with me during these difficult years...a great reward will be yours in heaven....

and to think....I wasn't going to go to church today....

I read this quote today by President Eyring and thought it was a great reminder for all of us.
Here it is....enjoy:
It is by faith that you can lay hold upon every good thing. I pray with all my heart that your faith will be increased that you are a daughter of a loving God. I testify to you that you have been one of the valiant ones to reach the point where you now are in this journey of life. Just as you are marked as a target by the enemy of righteousness, you have been protected and watched over by your Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. They know you. They know all of the forces and individuals around you. They know what is ahead of you. And so They know which of the choices you make, which of the desires you decide to satisfy, and which of the circumstances around you will make the most difference in keeping you walking in the light. I testify that by the Spirit of Christ and by the Holy Ghost, you may walk confidently in whatever difficulties will come. Because you are so valuable, some of your trials may be severe. You need never be discouraged or afraid. The way through difficulties has always been prepared for you, and you will find it if you exercise faith.
You must have faith to pray. You must have faith to ponder the word of God. You must have faith to do those things and go to those places which invite the Spirit of Christ and the Holy Ghost.
I promise you that within the next few days you will feel the illumination of the Spirit of Christ and the Holy Ghost in your everyday life. When you walk in the light, you will feel at that moment some of the warmth and the happiness that will finally be yours when you are welcomed home again with the hundreds and perhaps thousands of others whom you will bring with you, who have walked in the light because you did.

2. Upload the iPod with fabulous running songs....CHECK!

3. Apply vaseline to all possible chaffing areas....CHECK! :)

4. Get cute "space girls" outfits to run in....CHECK! (gotta make a midnight run worth it...)

5. Get onto the I-15N from the 93/95 to get on the 93 to get the Rachel, Nevada (the race site)....OOPS! missed that one.

We left the house at 9:30PM for our midnight run with aliens! Can I tell you just HOW excited I was for this? I even made the girls wear costumes. In all of our preparations we forgot to mapquest the race site. We thought the provided directions were enough....well 2 hours later in the wrong direction we realized that wasn't enough....it left us some pretty unhappy space girls...

We cheered up a little bit after we put on a fun outfits....I guess it was the thought that counts...
