The NEW "Vegas Date"...

Later in February, we had another fun date night. It was definitely the Las Vegas Experience!!
We started out here...
The Mob Museum
This is how we were greeted! I loved it!
The Mobsters!

I LOVED the decor. I thought they did such a good job with the artistic layout of the entire museum! It was probably one of my favorite parts.
They had a lot of Vegas history and organized crime history. It was really interesting to learn about.
They even have a fun courtroom where you get to see a hearing.

Lots of interactive things...

And of course a great gift shop!

Overall, we thought the museum was fun. And we were very impressed with the artistic layout! It is new so we hadn't heard much about it. Unfortunately, it is not a family-friendly museum. I'm not sure if I was expecting a Mob Museum to be family-friendly or not. But there are plenty of graphic (violence/murder) pictures {I was surprised at the graphic detail they showed} and unedited conversations with mobsters (swearing). But it is interesting to learn more about organized crime in America.

Afterwards, it was time for dinner.
We couldn't think of a better place than
The Bootlegger
Great food, and you just feel like your surrounded by the mafia!
Oh, Vegas...what an experience you are!!
Josh, making his best mafia expression!

THE "Vegas" Date...

In February Josh and I went on the quintessential Vegas date.
Bellagio Conservatory, Fountain show and then top it off with yummy gelato from a shop there.
It's overdone, but I still love it!!

It was decorated for the Chinese New Year...the Year of the Dragon!
They even had a live performance!

The gender reveal....

Josh wanted to find out the gender of our baby on his birthday.  We went in for the ultrasound about 3 weeks before his birthday. Everything was healthy and normal {shew!}. And we found out we were having an extremely modest and ACTIVE baby. There was no way there was going to be any revealing of any gender. So I figured the baby was a modest girl or a stubborn boy.

Josh really wanted a boy. I always said I wanted a boy first, but I was kinda excited at the idea of the baby being a girl, so I was undecided.

So, one week before Josh's birthday we went back and the ultrasound tech was able to find the gender quick and clear! So, now I had the gender in my purse waiting for Josh's birthday to find out!! HARD!

So we took the ultrasound pictures to the bakery and asked them to look at the pictures and make the inside of the birthday cake pink or blue depending on girl or boy. For some reason, they couldn't die the cake batter?! So we just did the filling.

I picked up the cake the morning of Josh's birthday and took it to work with me. {HARD!} After work I met Josh at home. I thought we would go to dinner and then come home and cut the cake. Josh was so excited. We decided to have dessert first!

In our excitement we didn't even get a picture before the cake was cut! Josh cut into it as fast as he could. We were videoing it, and I saw the pink come off before the slice was fully cut! I gasped and cried. We are so excited to have a little girl join our family!!

We quickly called our parents and siblings and then went to dinner...a little shell-shocked/overwhelmed...but glowing with excitement of new parents!!

And then I double checked the ultrasound pictures....just to be sure!! :)
Three little lines....means girl!
I've "doubled" checked like 15 times!! :)
